Two pieces from elsewhere
By Emma.Sorry to be a bit quiet here this week. I have been writing and have had two pieces published elsewhere, but I don’t know their rules on reposting, so I will just link to them here:
The first was on the Monarchy and the fact that its designed to make us question it at times of personal crisis for the Roay Family on the Huffington Post.
The second is my Stagger’s debut on the effect of Thatcher on the Labour Left.
Enjoy!

Hi Emma
I’ve cross-posted your New Statesman post on our blog with some comments.
It’s an interesting piece, and I agree that it would be great if the left could “move beyond” Thatcherism, but how? How does one do this? Surely the first step is breaking the stranglehold that the right of the party has over the debate?
Link is our piece here: http://representingthemambo.wordpress.com/2012/01/22/another-interesting-article-given-the-mambo-treatment-thatcher-shaped-labours-left-as-much-as-its-right/
I enjoyed reading you sticking the boot into Dan Hodges by the way!
