Just been catching up on my podcasts and really enjoyed this one. A shame it was before the “go home” van because it must be getting herder for the more sensible Tories to defend their party’s immigration policy. They may not be the nasty party, and hey are doing their best to play up to the tag, but they are fast becoming the stupid party.

Your both wrong on party funding. Short money is about supporting a strong opposition, something every democracy needs, and is only paid once you have MPs and a leader of the opposition. Accepting that money is fungible there is no argument why a free association of people who have strong political views should be given access to tax payers money to sell your message back to us. If we want you to have our money we will give it freely.
